About Me
I hold a Masters Degree in Social Work from Simmons College in Boston, MA. (In 1904, Simmons was the nation’s first institute of higher learning
to offer training for clinical social workers.). My undergraduate training in Psychology was at Clark University in Worcester, MA.
The Commonwealth of Massachusetts currently licenses me and I have maintained this since 1994 (LICSW = Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker).

My clinical style is psychodynamic, relational, and strengths-based. Although I am generally a "talk" therapist, there are specific tools, which I
use and have found extremely helpful for those who are interested in trying them: EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique), Mindfulness & Meditation
techniques and what is known as "Belly Breathing."
My personal style of relating to my clients is generally relaxed though I do believe in working hard to reach goals. One of my clients recently
stated, "You seem to dig more out of me than previous therapists have." I am known by my clients to be intuitively present, direct, and to have a
good sense of humor. Many people have told me that it has taken them a long time to find someone with whom they feel comfortable and connected.
If you could do one thing right now to feel better:
